An Ugly Duckling in our Midst!
The improvements are extensive and promise to make the Bradford Mill an even better place to work. This is Phase 1 in what will be a multi-year project, but the benefits are already being felt.
- Exterior Improvements. Ancient clapboard siding on 23 and 33 Bradford will be replaced with durable Hardie Plank siding. New, insulated low-E windows will be installed. The entry ways will be updated. The loading docks will be rebuilt. Asphalt on the main parking lot will be repaired.
- Interior Improvements. We are going to install new, high efficiency HVAC in 23 Bradford as the first step toward retiring the 1939 boiler that currently heats the entire property. A new stair core will be added to 33 Bradford.
The buildings are steadily being brought up to code on all fronts – electrical, plumbing, fire safety, accessibility… It’s a journey, and it’s a good one.
